Great breakfast. Food was perfect. Love the atmosphere.

Great service. Food portion is ok, to small, however quality is good. Clean, nice staff, and located close to square and downtown.

The Homestyle atmosphere reminds me of my Great Grandmother's home and care. We had the bologna breakfast sandwich, the snowball, country fried steak, pancakes and eggs. There was not a weak dish among them . We didn't need to eat for the rest of the day.

This was my first trip to Callie's. It won't be my last.

Service staff are slow and inattentive, albeit friendly. The atmosphere is depressing, and the floors are always dirty. My omelette was served cold. Some of the food is good, though.. when it's served in a timely manner. This is a good place to meet people in a very casual setting. There is ample seating, as I've only seen a maximum of four diners occupying the space, and tables can be moved to accomadate larger parties.Pros:- Affordable- Easy- Decent peopleCons:- Slow service- Poor quality control

Normally great, best fish dinner in town. Service was slow and I mean slow. Waited 30 minutes, no food, no update or acknowledgement from the waitress. The two waitresses working couldn’t decide who’s order was who’s and food sat under the warmer for at least 15 minutes. Left before order was delivered to table.

Nice local restaurant. My Country Fried Steak breakfast was good. The steak was tender. Waitress was friendly. Good to experience a local business instead of a chain.

Terrific strip chef salad. Super friendly staff and a quaint atmosphere. I'll definitely be eating here again and again.

We couldn't get what we wanted on the menu because they were changing the oil in their fryer. It was 8:30 on a Friday morning! The egg burrito and home fries were swimming in grease and the eggs in the buritto were funny. The biscuits were burnt to a crisp. The waitress visibly saw this and never even offered an apology or replacement.We won't be coming back here that's for sure. It was quite possibly the worst breakfast we have ever eaten anywhere.

!!!!!!!PLEASE READ IF YOU DO NOT IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS WHITE!!!!!!! Came from St. Louis to visit my wife's Uncle who was home from overseas in the military. Claimed they were the best pancakes in town. I was the last one to get my food. Everyone had white plates with checkered trim, but me, I had a red plate. I ordered the same meal as my wife. I felt so singled out and questioned if my food was contaminated or tampered with, because I was the only black person in the building. I looked threw the picture and saw no red plates; only red baskets. My dad was a police officer for 27 years and I was still offended by the "Blue Lives Matter" painted on the American Flag. On top of being seated by a fake cotton plant.

I've never had less than an excellent experience at Callie's! Everyone here is friendly and the food is delicious. Some of my favorites are the fried catfish, cheeseburger, beans and cornbread, grilled chicken salad, and coleslaw. Once they had country fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans on the dinner menu. AMAZING! I've not been fortunate enough to have that experience again. I love Callie's!

Normally our go to restaurant when we want good homecooked food, but not today. Waited for someone to bring us menus as the help stood around talking. Then they almost argued who needed to wait on us. Beans were cold and to top it off they didn't put our to go order in after us reminding them. We won't be going back anytime soon.

Loved the food,fresh down home cooking at a fair price. I forgot my wallet and stopped back in the next day and paid my check. What a great staff...

It was alright but the brown beans was bland need throw some ham hocks or some kind pork in there to get better flavor. Need also add some type seasoning to the burger. Tho they have great breakfast. The staff is great with good old hospitality.

Friendly wattres and excellent food.

Had the open faced roast beef special with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. It was all delicious! Hearty meal that will leave you full! Also tried a piece of the fried fish that came out hot fresh light and crispy which I would reccomend anyone to try. I also got to try the jalapeno poppers which were very good as well. Simple but delicious. Cant wait to come back again!

This local gem is one of my favorite parts about my hometown. The service is unmatched, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. The omelette is by far one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten in my life.

Went here because one review said “ best omelet I ever had”. Well this was the absolute WORST omelet I have ever had. Egg was paper thin, full of greasy onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and what appeared to be Velveeta cheese—even though I specifically ordered without cheese. Had to wait another 15 min for a new greasy omelet with 10-12 hard rock-like tasteless potatoes and toast so cold butter would not melt. The staff (loud, unprofessional and rude) were absorbed in their own affairs and in making derogatory comments about customers calling in to place orders. Decor is dated, dirty, and depressing. Never again. Don’t go here if you have any standards. You’ll be sadly disappointed.

I mean, this place is like home through and through. What is not to like? Friendliest staff, basically home cooked southern love on a plate, good sweet tea. It is a great place!

Disappointed all around. I guess i should start by saying the employees were very pleasant. However, it took an exceptionally long time to receive our food after ordering, 30 minutes to prepare 2 sandwiches that were the daily special. Once our food finally came, and we got our Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, it turned out to be a hoagie bun with four thin dainty shreds of beef, some peppers and onions, and a blob of vegetable oil imitation "cheese" flavored goo. Yes...like the nacho pump at speedway. The tater tots were barely cooked and were more like mashed potato bites.

Great staff great service and great food at a great price

First time going and last time! They need to add to their menu and for the price of a chicken basket there wasn't even a handful of fries! Our kids got more with the kids menu than us adults.
